We support various people and organisations who do the work of the Lord in other parts of the world.

They are:-

Andy Blake who works for MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) in Tanzania.

Who is Andy Blake? Andy Blake is a pilot flying for MAF. As a boy Andy lived in Rochester, he was in the air cadets as a teenager and enjoyed all they had to offer him, but he really wanted to learn how to fly a plane.

After leaving school Andy became a teacher (He taught the FBC web editor!!) and by all accounts was a very good one, who was very active in the running of after school clubs and week and daytrips.

Andy has a great sense of humour and applies this to everything he does and everybody he meets. Andy is supported by several churches in the Medway towns including the strong links that he has with ours.

When home Andy always tries to give us a visit and bring us his update and latest photos and news.

Blythswood Care.

Blythswood Care started in Scotland and its motto is "Christian care for body and soul." It not only reaches out to local communities, Eastern Europe but also to India and is endeavouring to start work in Zambia. Our greatest support to them is through their shoebox appeal at Christmas. They also have a local charity shop in Darnley Road, Strood.

The local depot is 32a Riverside 1, Sir Thomas Longley Road, Medway City Estate.

Home Mission.

Home Mission is a department of The Baptist Union which encourages the churches of the UK to reach out to their local communities. The magazine bugb (Baptist Union Great Britain) gives an insight to what is happening around the country.
