Baptism

What is Baptism?

To 'Baptise' means to 'dip' or 'plunge' and that is what happens in Baptism. The person being baptised is dipped into water so that they are completely submerged for a moment or two.Often that water is a river or the sea, but at Frindsbury Baptist Church we have a purpose built baptistry in the middle of the church whish is filled with water for a baptism. The significance of completely submerging is that when we are baptised we wash our old sinful life away and cleanse our life of sins starting a new fresh life as a 'Born Again Christian'.

Anybody who loves and has faith in Jesus can be baptised. If you would like to know more about Baptism please send an email.
